Living in London, Ralphie’s childhood has deviated away from the typical expectation. The Branscombe family has undeniably been handed their fair share of challenges and struggles, and at their own admission, they have not always easily provided the opportunities they’d want for Ralphie.
Throughout Ralphie’s karting years, the achievements he obtained purely on his skill and understanding of the sport led Ralphie to bring home titles and achievements such as record 12 consecutive podium finishes across 12 rounds in the Honda Cadet competition, 10 championship titles, 2 vice champion titles, selected to represent Team UK at the T4 World Finals in Valencia, and quoted as ‘One of the UK’s most successful privateer drivers of his generation by industry experts’.
Despite these huge achievements and, his passion for the sport, his close relationship with his family grounded Ralphie and this is evident in his open, honest, humbling and friendly personality; something that cannot be sponsored or paid for.
This alone has projected Ralphie into the vision of many potential sponsors and interests in the motorsport world.
As with many other families, neurodiversity and rising living costs have made Ralphie’s story even more impressive as in February of 2026 Ralphie landed a £35,000 sponsorship with the Junior Saloon Car Championship.
Michael Schumacher
